How much
does the service cost?
It is $8.95 per month. There is no set-up fee and
you can cancel at any time.
What type of computer will this work on? Do you support Mac?
The service will work on any Windows computer as well
as Apple Macs. You just need to have the ability to connect your
computer to the phone line. Most computers already have this ability
built into it.
What if I
have problems? Is there technical support?
We have technical support available 24 hours per day, 7
days a week. If you have any problems after signing up with us, like
having trouble connecting or having problems with emails, just call our
toll free number at 1-866-509-4932 and press 2 for tech support.
What
type of Internet service is it? What is included?
We provide unlimited dial-up service. You can connect to us through local
telephone numbers. We have numbers throughout the U.S., almost 3000
total. We have numbers throughout Idaho, and about 98% of the USA is
covered, including all 50 states.
Can I use email?
You have the ability to create up to 5 email accounts. You can view the
email through the web or you can use a program like Outlook or Eudora or
Mac Mail to view your email. Your union's home page has a direct link for
viewing email.
Can I only
dial the Internet from my home phone?
No. Once you have an account you can access it from anywhere in the U.S.
through any of our access numbers.
Do you have virus or
spyware protection.
We don't offer it directly, but our tech support people can recommend
products to use for this purpose. Whether you use Zylink or not, you
should not rely on an ISP for protecting your computer from viruses. You
should take care to protect your computer directly.
Do you have spam
control?
Yes. However, we can only filter out so much.
Some spam will get through and we can recommend some software you can
install on your computer to filter it out further if you find that too
much spam is coming through.
Do I have to
sign a contract or commit to a term?
No. Our service is month-to-month and can be cancelled at any time.
Do you have DSL
or other high-speed service?
Not yet. However, we expect to have DSL service in the future.
How do I pay
you? What payment methods are there?
After you sign up with us, we will send you a bill which will detail the
payment methods.
You can pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express of
Discover), by electronic deduction from your checking account. These
charges are made automatically each month. We do not send bills or
statements after your initial bill.
If you wish to pay with a paper check or money order, you can pay for the whole
year at a 10% discount ($96 for the year). For this method of payment, we do mail a bill
to you each year when payment is due each year.
Can my
payment be deducted from my payroll check.
No. Some unions have made this arrangement, but yours does not currently
have one. It is up to your union to set up this type of arrangement.
